Warwick WalksCondamine Medical Centre in conjunction with Warwick Shire Council are establishing walking tracks throughout the local area. The walking tracks will encompass many of Warwick's scenic attractions. There will be walks for everyone, from the very fit, to the beginner, to those simply wanting to enjoy a stroll in pleasing surrounds. At the commencement of your chosen walk signage will advise you of the distance, number of steps you will take, the challenge factor, the geography and highlights you can expect. Watch this space as more information comes to hand. Community RadioIn January 2005 Condamine Medical Centre "went to air", albeit one morning per month. In conjunction with Warwick's Rainbow FM 89.3 we launched a monthly segment during the Thursday brekky show called "Health Focus". Each month one of our doctors talks about relevant, topical and interesting health matters. There's bound to be a issue that's relevant to you, or your family. Don't miss it - the second Thursday of the month at 8.30a.m. on Warwick's 89.3. However if you do miss out, you can now download the Health Focus show driect from out Podcast download page. Showcasing Loact Artists
Some people are blessed with the gift of being able to create and express themselves through art, while everyone is capable of enjoying it on at least on one level. It invades our silence, manipulates our thoughts and plays on our emotions. It has been with us almost as long as man's very existence, has survived World Wars, famine, and disease and is constantly changing, while still remaining true to its roots and reflecting our culture. It is dynamic, complex and beautiful. There had been difficulties defining art, but in general, it is the product of creative human activity in which materials are shaped or selected to convey an idea, emotion, or visually interesting form. People not only make art but choose which objects can be called art.
It is important to me that everyone in our community has the opportunity to experience locally created artworks and by providing a gallery space to display the work of local artists the Condamine Medical Centre continues to enrich the lives of the people of Warwick and surrounding communities.
