The Condamine Medical Centre, located in Warwick, has been awarded The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners' (RACGP) Queensland General Practice of the Year Award for 2005. The General Practice of the Year Award recognises the outstanding work of general practices; the commitment of the practice to accreditation; the standard of facilities offered to patients and staff; and the services offered to the local community. The Condamine Medical Centre is a holistic and integrated health care service, strongly focused on patient care. Medic makes most of city visit
Medicine student Katherine Fuller will stay with QCWA member Penny Campbell-Wilson for two weeks while she does her prac in Warwick.
MUSTERING on horse back, visiting Queen Mary Falls, indulging in Stanthorpe wine – it would seem medicine student Katherine Fuller is certainly making the most of her visits to Warwick.
The Perth-based student is part-way through her third visit to the Rose City, where she does practical work at the Condamine Medical Centre as part of her studies. Miss Fuller was awarded the John Flynn Scholarship, which encourages medical students to spend their practical training in rural areas. During her two-week visit to Warwick, she will stay with QCWA member Penny Campbell-Wilson. Miss Fuller said she loved returning to the Rose City. “I had a friend back home who came here for his prac and he recommended it,” she said yesterday. “He said ‘I know this great place in Queensland’ and I decided to try it. “I really like it here. "Everyone’s so nice and friendly.”
